A quick up-do!

My husband's grandmother gave me this cute plant stand before she passed away this spring.  I really liked the lines and the look, but I thought it could use some love.  Here is what it looked like before the make-over:

Here are the after pictures:

The whole thing.  Isn't it sooo cute?

I used Annie Sloan's Louis Blue, and a mixture of clear, and dark wax.  I still have a whole garage full of things to up-cycle.  How fun!

Cabinet Re-Do

So my great friend Laurel Flannery gave me this neat old cabinet to do something with.  Since I was already updating my son's bedroom, I thought I would use the same Annie Sloan Paris Grey paint I used on his dresser and bed.  I really love how it turned out.  Here is the before:

Laurel had it painted a deep red for a TV cabinet.  The red looked great in her living room:

So here is what it looks like after.  I LOVE this Annie Sloan paint :)

I added this piece to Alex's room.  Stay tuned for the pictures of his whole room (fit for an almost 10 year old!)

My Annie Sloan Chalk Paint is finally here!

Hurrah, hurrah!  I have finally received my Annie Sloan paint.  I am working on quite a few projects right now, so here are my first few.

I have been wanting to re-do my son's bedroom furniture for some time now.  It was not until I saw the Annie Sloan paint that I new what to do!  Here are the before pictures.

His headboard and footboard (yuck!)

His dresser (I almost forgot to take a before pic!)

And finally, the nightstand and drawers.

Are you ready for the afters?  Really, really ready?  Here they are :)

Children's Bird Table

Hello all!!  I made over this plain table with just a few supplies:  an old dictionary, distress inks, 2 acrylic paint colors, and glossy Mod Podge.  I hope you like it!

This is the before:

and this is the after!

Now if I can muster up the courage to let my kids use it....

Hello!

Well, I'm excited for my very first post!  This blog is really about art, and how I see and recreate the world. I love collage, painting, repurposing, and everything in between.  I also love motion graphics and graphic design.  Creating is my life... I'd love it if you joined me.
